Gold and silver prices in your city on April 14: Gold prices in India’s retail market remained steady on Tuesday, April 14, with retail rates for 24-karat, and 22-karat witnessing minimal change.

Meanwhile, the yellow metal hit a record high above ₹180,000 in January this year, but prices have since eased from those levels, which is likely setting the stage for a profitable entry point for investors looking to build positions.

At current levels of around ₹150,000, gold prices are down 16% or ₹30,000 from recent highs as investors have booked profits following the sharp rally and inflation worries amid rising crude oil prices.

New Delhi:

Gold prices declined in the bullion market of the national capital in the last session. Silver prices fell to Rs 2.45 lakh per kg, while gold prices fell to Rs 1.55 lakh per 10 grams. This occurred amid uncertainty over the Iran war. Weak trends in overseas markets also impacted the trading sentiment in the domestic market. The bullion market is closed today due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti. In this way, the closing prices of Monday are applicable on Tuesday. However, there will be no trading on the MCX in the morning session (9 am to 5 pm). But, the evening session will run from 5 pm to 11:55 pm.

According to the All India Sarafa Association, the price of silver in Delhi fell by Rs 1,800 or about one per cent to Rs 2,45,200 per kg (including all taxes) by the time the market closed on Monday. It had closed at ₹247,000 per kilogram on Friday. At the same time, 24-carat gold also declined by Rs 300 to Rs 1,55,000 per 10 grams (including all taxes). In the last market session, the price of gold had closed at Rs 1,55,300 per 10 grams.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures fell by 0.06% (as of market close on April 12) or Rs 89 to close at Rs 1,52,690 per 10 grams. Silver, meanwhile, fell 1.14 percent (₹2,775) to close at ₹2,40,499 per kg.

As far as the Good Returns data is concerned, the price of 24 carat gold is now Rs 1,52,460 per 10 grams. 22-carat gold is ₹1,39,750 per 10 grams. Silver has reached ₹2,55,000 per kg.

“Precious metal prices opened lower on Monday after ceasefire talks between the US and Iran remained inconclusive over the weekend,” said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst (Commodities) at HDFC Securities.

Precious metal prices also declined in the international market. Spot silver fell $1.58, or 2.09 percent, to $74.31 an ounce, while gold fell $25.92 to $4,722.26 an ounce.

Domestic bullion markets show modest decreases in gold and a steeper correction in silver, while international spot prices also trade lower. Rising Brent crude, now at $102.31 per barrel after a 7.4% jump, is increasing expectations that central banks, including the U.S. Federal Reserve, may keep interest rates elevated for longer.

Key domestic rates and purity slabs In India, benchmark 24K gold with 99.9% purity is priced at ₹15,245 per gram and ₹1,52,450 per 10 grams on 14 April 2026, down about ₹380 per 10 grams from 13 April 2026. The 22K variant at 91.6% purification trades at ₹13,974 per gram and ₹1,39,740 per 10 grams, whereas 18K gold at 75% purity costs ₹11,433 per gram and ₹1,14,330 per 10 grams.

Domestic silver is seeing sharper moves than gold price today and silver price today viewers note that 999 pure silver stands at ₹254.90 per gram, ₹2,549 per 10 grams and ₹2,54,900 per kilogram, marking a ₹100 fall per kg and reflecting a total decline of ₹5,000 per kg compared with the previous session’s high point.
