Ravens vs. Packers prediction, odds, start time: Week 17 NFL Saturday picks by proven model
The Baltimore Ravens apparently forgot to use Derrick Henry at the end of their Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots.
John Harbaugh made sure to correct that in the team’s 41–24 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 17.
The Ravens made it a point to feature Henry with Lamar Jackson unavailable to play because of a back injury. He responded by tying a career-high with four touchdowns and logging his seventh career 200-yard game, good for the most in NFL history.
Henry’s performance buoyed a Baltimore attack that ran for 307 yards while controlling the clock against Green Bay. That allowed backup quarterback Tyler Huntley to focus on playing efficiently, as he completed 16 of 20 passes for 107 yards and a TD while adding 60 yards on eight carries of his own.
Baltimore’s victory permitted it to stave off playoff elimination for another day. The Ravens can still be removed from the postseason if the Pittsburgh Steelers win or tie against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Packers’ loss eliminates them from contention in the NFL North and guarantees they will be the No. 1 seed. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs. It will mark the third consecutive season Matt LaFleur’s squad has earned that honor

Packers vs. Ravens MNF takeaways
Trusting Derek Henry was always the Ravens’ key. 36 carries; 216 yards; four touchdowns. Saturday’s performance was a vintage one from Henry. Baltimore’s willingness to lean on the veteran back permitted the team to control time of possession and dominate the game against a banged-up Packers defense. Expect the Ravens to take a similar approach against the Steelers in Week 18 – provided Baltimore can remain in the playoff race.

Tyler Huntley is an efficient backup QB. Huntley might not have been flashy for the Ravens, but he did exactly what he needed to keep their offense in rhythm. He showed an ability to log timely first downs with his legs while avoiding mistakes in the aerial attack. Will anyone mistake Huntley for an explosive playmaker through the air? No, but there is certainly a place in the NFL for a rock-solid backup like him. He’s an ideal fit behind Jackson in Baltimore, so the Ravens should treat him appropriately.
Malik Willis has earned an opportunity to compete for a starting job. Look, this doesn’t mean Willis will win a starting job, but he was great against the Ravens. He displayed great accuracy throughout the evening and showed a willingness to stretch the field, hitting Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson for gains of 40 and 39 yards on Green Bay’s first drive alone. Willis’ combination of youth – he’s 26 – arm talent and mobility should make him an intriguing flier on the free-agent market. Perhaps he will be the newest reclamation project to prove itself worthy of starting. If not, he certainly has more playmaking ability than the typical NFL backup quarterback.
Josh Jacobs still isn’t right. Jacobs only handled four carries for the Packers against the Ravens. He turned them into just three yards. Jacobs deserves props for trying to gut through ankle and knee injuries in recent weeks, but the Packers are probably best served resting him in Week 18 in the hopes he can be healthy for the postseason. If he cannot get right, however, the Packers will have to lean heavily on their passing game as they try to pull an upset on wild-card weekend.
NFL The Baltimore Ravens look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive when they fight the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. The Ravens (7–8), who trail first-place Pittsburgh by two games in the AFC North, needed to win out and have Pittsburgh lose to the Browns in Week 17 to make the playoffs. The Packers (9-5-1), who are 1.5 games behind Chicago for the NFC North lead, clinched a playoff spot on Thursday when the Vikings upset the Lions. Both teams have major question marks at quarterback. Green Bay QB Jordan Love (concussion/shoulder) is inactive, while backup Malik Willis (shoulder/ailment) is active. Lamar Jackson (back) is inactive for Baltimore, putting Tyler Huntley in line to start.
