Mumbai, December 25 – Director James Cameron will once again top the Indian box office as Avatar: Fire & Ash has become the highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025 in the country in flat one week. Earlier, the maverick filmmaker topped the Hollywood charts in India in 2022 with Avatar: Way of Water, which grossed almost 500 crores.
The third installment in Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar franchise grossed approximately 116.50 crores until Wednesday (6 days), and it is looking to collect 15+ crores gross on day 7 to close the first week at 131+ crores. With this, it will cross F1 Movie’s 129 crores gross total to become the biggest foreign film of the year in India.
‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ was released in cinemas last week, and the film has managed to score well at the box office amidst the ‘Dhurandhar’ fever. Whereas the Hollywood sci-fi epic was expected to dominate the Bollywood espionage thriller, the vice versa can be seen happening. And on Christmas holiday, the third installment of the ‘Avatar’ franchise witnessed some growth in its collections. Let’s take a look at the day 7 earnings of the film.

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ box office collection Day 7
Avatar James Cameron’s epic adventure faced tough competition from Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, and still, it has managed good and steady collections at the box office. According to the Sacnilk report, on Christmas, December 25, 2025 (Day 21), the movie has raked in Rs 13.50 crore at the box office. It is clear that the movie received a festive boost, and with that, the total box office earnings in India now stand at Rs 109.65 crore.
Avatar: Fire and Ash had a good yet underwhelming opening of 23+ crores gross, primarily because of Dhurandhar’s box office dominance. However, the Hollywood biggie has not maintained a stable trend, but also weathered the Dhurandhar storm to carve its own path at the box office to score a good collection.
