UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination 2025 Result Out;

This total of 363 candidates is now: not recommended for appointment in Category 1, and 449 candidates are now not recommended for appointment in Category 2.

The Union Public Service Commission UPSC has released the final result for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2025 today (December 22). This final result has been prepared on the basis of Combined Medical Services Examination 2025 held on July 20, 2025, followed by Personality Test (Part – II) held from October to December, 2025.

The lists of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the services/posts are under two categories:

Category 1- Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service

Category 2-

Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways;
General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council;
General Duty Medical Officer Gr – II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

A total of 363 candidates have been recommended for appointment in Category I, in which 162 candidates are from General category (including 9 PwBD candidates), 43 candidates are from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 75 + 2 PwBD are from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 57 + 1 PwBD candidates are from Scheduled Caste (SC) category, and 21 + 2 PwBD from Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

In category II, a total of 449 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Of these, 182 candidates (10 PwBD) are from General category, 49 (+1 PwBD) are from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 113 (+6 PwBD) candidates are from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 70 (+1 PwBD) candidates are from Scheduled Castes (SC), and 27 candidates are from Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.

Candidates should remember that the offer of appointment to the provisional candidates listed above will not be issued until the Commission verifies the original documents awaited from such candidates. Selected candidates only have time till six months (starting from December 22). In case the provisional candidate fails to submit the requisite documents, in original, as required by the Commission within this period, his/her candidature will be canceled and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

“Appointments to the above said services/posts shall be made according to the number of vacancies available and subject to the candidates fulfilling all the prescribed eligibility conditions and all pre-appointment formalities/verifications, wherever due, being completed satisfactorily. Allotment of candidates to the services/posts shall be made according to ranks obtained and preference of services/posts expressed by them,” the official notification stated.

The Union Public Service Commission UPSC has declared the final result of the Combined Medical Services Examination 2025 based on the written test (Part-I) conducted on July 20, 2025 and the personality test (Part-II) conducted from October to December, 2025. This time candidates have been selected for appointment to medical posts in Central Health Service, Railways and Municipal Corporations through the examination. As per UPSC, the list of selected candidates is divided into two categories. Candidates in Category-I have been recommended for appointment to the posts of General Duty Medical Officers. At the same time, in Category-II candidates have been nominated for the posts of Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways, General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council and General Duty Medical Officer Grade-II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

UPSC As per the vacancies reported by the government, a total of 365 posts are to be filled in Category-I, including 224 General, 28 OBC, 54 SC, 22 ST and 37 EWS vacancies. These also include special vacancies of 08 PwBD-1 and 07 PwBD-4&5 category. There are a total of 479 posts in Category-II, which include 212 General, 119 OBC, 71 SC, 27 ST and 50 EWS vacancies, along with 18 PwBD-1 posts. As per the selection details, a total of 363 candidates have been recommended in Category-I, including 14 PwBD candidates. A total of 449 candidates have been selected in Category-II, including 18 PwBD candidates. In addition to this, the Commission has also prepared a reserve list for Category-II, which includes 60 candidates. The commission has clarified that appointments will be made only after availability of vacancies, eligibility of candidates, document verification and completion of all pre-appointment formalities. Candidates will be allotted to services/posts based on their rank and preference. A total of 376 candidates have been provisionally selected in this year’s process, who are expected to submit original documents. The commission also clarified that the appointment letters will be issued to the candidates only after document verification and the validity of the provisional nomination will be limited to six months after the result is declared. Non-submission of documents will result in cancellation of candidate’s nomination.

A special legal case has also come up, in which the final outcome of Mr. Yogesh Kumar (Roll No. 0816710) has been withheld due to a pending petition (W.P. 4910/2025) in the Rajasthan High Court. UPSC has set up a ‘Facilitation Counter’ in the examination building premises for the convenience of candidates, where candidates can get information in person or through telephone from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. The commission also said that the mark sheet will be available within about 15 days. Joint Medical Services Examination is very important for the health sector of the country. Successful candidates of this examination are now ready to play important roles in various medical services across the country, thereby strengthening the central health service and urban health infrastructure.
