The makers of Dhurandhar:
The Revenge decided to cash in on the momentum by hosting paid previews of the movie a day before its official release. The pre-sales started on March 7 as soon as the trailer came out. The film has already sold more than 200,000 tickets, worth more than Rs. 12 crore nett approx. It sold 87,000 tickets on BookMyShow in the first 24 hours.
Out of this, 141,000 tickets have been sold at the two national cinema chains, PVRINOX and Cinepolis, making almost 80 per cent of the total revenue.
The sequel to Aditya Dhar’s directorial now holds the record for the highest paid previews for a Bollywood movie, beating Stree 2 which had collected Rs 8.75 crore from its pre-sale. With 10 days left for its release, Dhurandhar 2 has achieved this record within just two days of pre-sales, setting the stage for a heavier collection in the next few days.
Dhurandhar:
The Revenge is now looking to break the Indian record in paid previews set by They Call Him OG. The Pawan Kalyan-starrer had made Rs. 26 crore approx. with its previews.

With this impressive feat,Dhurandhar 2‘s advance bookings for premiere day have also surpassed what Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo made on its opening day, i.e. around Rs 9 crore in domestic collection. Similarly, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 also opened at around ₹12 crore.
Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025, earned over ₹1300 crore globally, and the sequel is expected to match up to it as the anticipation for the film is at an all-time high.
Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as an Indian spy who has been to Lyari, the criminal underbelly of Karachi to dismantling the internal terror networks. The first part earned over Rs 1300 crore globally, and the sequel is expected to emulate it, if not do better.
Dhurandhar 2:
The Revenge’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The excitement is further high ever since the trailer of the film has released on March 7. Capitalising on the buzz, the makers simultaneously opened advance bookings for the film’s paid previews on Wednesday, March 18, giving fans the opportunity to secure tickets well in advance and boast about catching the film a day before its worldwide theatrical release on Thursday, March 19.
Earlier, the Ranveer Singh starrer was supposed to clash with Yash’s ‘Toxic’. However, the latter has now been pushed to June 4.
In December, after Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar released in theaters, it proved to be a juggernaut like no other. Now, with just days left for the release of the sequel, it appears Dhurandhar: The Revenge will also be an unstoppable force in the same vein. After the film’s trailer was released last week, the advance bookings for the preview shows (on the eve of the release) were opened. And even though the current ticket sales are for just select shows on Wednesday, March 18, the collections have already overtaken many films’ opening-day figures.
Dhurandhar 2 advance bookings set premiere record
Advance reservations for Dhurandhar 2 opened on March 7, following the trailer release at 11:01 AM. Within 24 hours, the film had sold 87K tickets on BookMyShow alone. By March 9 morning, the figure had grown to over 1.5 lakh on the platform and over 2 lakh overall. According to Sacnilk, the film’s premier shows have sold 2.06 lakh tickets across India, grossing ₹12.29 crore. Whereas the bulk of this collection comes from the original Hindi version, the Tamil dub has outperformed expectations, raking in almost ₹10 lakh from preview shows.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge now holds the record for the highest collections by a Bollywood film from premiere shows, beating Stree 2’s ₹10 crore mark. Given that the premiere is still 9 days away, the figure is likely to increase further.

Dhurandhar 2 beats films’ opening day hauls with advance bookings
With just the collections from advance bookings for premiere day, Dhurandhar 2 has overtaken the opening-day collections of several comparable Bollywood films. The ₹12.29 crore Dhurandhar 2 has earned for its preview shows is higher than what Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo earned on its opening day a month earlier. The Vishal Bhardwaj film opened at just over ₹9 crore in India. Similarly, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 also opened at below that number last year, at around ₹12 crore.
